New cross-platform powerhouse of Paper Converting Machine Company, Winkler+Dünnebier, STAX and Northern Engraving to focus on customer-centric investments

GREEN BAY, Wis. — October 3, 2023 — The premier manufacturers of high-performance converting and packaging machinery for the tissue and hygiene industry have united under a new division of BW Converting Solutions–bringing together its global engineering, innovation and research teams– is making its global debut at MIAC 2023 (Stand 59, Lucca, Italy, October 11-13).

The new BW Converting Solutions (BWCS) Hygiene Division comprises the cross-platform powerhouse of PCMC, W+D, STAX and Northern Engraving. Its global capabilities, under a consolidated approach, are integrated to bring a heightened and even more accelerated customer-centric focus to product development, service and support through its global infrastructure of design engineers, market specialists, and customer service experts.

The first tangible result of the new consortium will be the introduction of PCMC’s new VENTUS-TI interfolding system line, marking BWCS Hygiene Division’s entry into the interfolded tissue product market.

“When we invest in innovation, our goal is always focused on how we can satisfy customer needs and provide substantial ROI,” said Cristian Giuliani, Vice President, global hygiene engineering, BWCS. “The new VENTUS-TI interfolding line points to the future in tissue and hygiene.”

Energy-saving, vacuum-based folding, a wide range of tissue web unwind options and versatile web treatment processes are among the technologies that allow the efficient manufacture of various interfolding products. VENTUS-TI’s modular design allows room for future upgrades. Its modularity enables manufacturers to scale with the same, efficient technology.

The VENTUS-TI features a quick cut-off length changeover, which enables the production of multiple product options within a short period of time. High efficiency and ease of operation and maintenance are achieved due to its compact layout, unique design and user-friendly SmartTouch© HMI.

From converting to packaging, a complete one-stop supplier awaits attendees at Stand 59 with a host of novelties and innovations–including the opportunity to enjoy designing “The Roll of Their Dreams,” courtesy of Northern Engraving.
